🚨 Next Generation Roleplay (NGRP) – Community Standards
Serious roleplay, room for dark humor, and a mechanics‑first philosophy. These standards explain the culture behind our rules.
Mission Build immersive stories together. Keep IC and OOC separate. Use mechanics and common sense over loopholes.
1) RP Basics
Story first
- Winning is secondary to immersion and narrative. Play believable people with goals, flaws, and limits.
- No powergaming: offer actions, don’t force outcomes.
- No metagaming: OOC info stays OOC.
Ex: “/me tries to pin your arm” = ✅ | “/me breaks your arm and takes your gun” = ❌
IC ≠ OOC
- Keep /ooc minimal for quick clarifications or tech issues only.
- IC trash talk is fine; OOC personal attacks are not.
2) Conflict & Maturity
De‑escalation & communication
- Not every slight ends in a shootout. Talking it out is valid RP.
- If something goes off the rails, use
/report
or talk calmly OOC.
Balance between factions
- LEO vs crime, gangs vs civilians — both sides create RP, not just wins.
- Respect fair escalation and allow cooldowns after major violence.
3) Boundaries & Respect
Consent & fade‑to‑black
- For sensitive/graphic RP, check first. Anyone can opt out.
- Use “fade to black” when content isn’t appropriate or desired.
Spirit over loophole
- Staff may act on behavior that breaks immersion or community spirit even if not listed verbatim.
4) Humor & Edginess
Edgy is fine, harassment isn’t
- Dark/gallows humor is welcome in character.
- No hate speech, identity‑based slurs, or targeted harassment — IC or OOC.
- Keep edgy content IC; don’t turn Discord/OOC into a hostility zone.
Ex: Sarcastic IC banter = ✅ | OOC bigotry or dogpiling = ❌
5) Rules & Gameplay Philosophy
Mechanics drive the world
- Injuries, vehicles, fear, and continuity have teeth. Don’t stunt‑spam or exploit.
- If it feels like a loophole, it probably is. Choose immersion.
6) Screening Categories (What We Evaluate)
We’re transparent about what our application grader looks for so you can align with community expectations.
